Week Three -- February 1st & 2nd, 2005 I've been spending way too much time watching FOX lately, and I believe my mind has now been significantly poisoned. This season, Randy Jackson is doing something strange -- he's trying to be nice. I mean, he was never an ogre or anything, but he wasn't exactly Paula Abdul, either. This year, even when people suck, he calls out happy, encouraging things as the people leave. Which, oddly enough, only seems to make the scorned contestants feel worse. Paula, on the other hand, is in a weird state of... well, something. Flux? Weirdness? I am not sure. It's like she has this split-personality thing going on, though. For one thing, she's still -- in her heart -- Nice Paula. She is kind to the contestants. She always says sweet nothings to the rejects. But then there are times when she's Psychotic Paula. If Simon even dares to make a snarky statement, she totally freaks out on him. Once, she almost cried. No homicides yet, though. Okay, so I was going to profile my favorite people this week, only... I really didn't have any. There was this blue-haired chic that kind of rocked, and if she makes it into the top 30, I may become a fan of hers, but right now... not so much. This, guy, though, was very wow: Justin Clark -- awesome voice. He's the guy, if you remember, who had the REALLY REALLY happy mama. She literally fell over when she found out he'd be going to Hollywood. Wow. I mean, whoa. I mean... eegah. But anyway, sorry I don't have more to say about AI this week... check back in next week, after the first round of Hollywood Fun. How many people will be sent home? How many will cry? (The promos promise chicfights -- yeah baby!) Which lucky eight will earn a coveted spot in my AI Sims House, where they will no doubt soon meet their fiery demise? Hmm.
