The Finals, Weeks 4, 5 & 6 So you may have noticed a lack of AI updates recently. I am to blame. It's getting to the point in the series where I just stop caring. It happens every year. And then the next year I always think: "THIS year I will be totally excited until the end!!!" But it never happens. Soooo we are down to six... Scott -- WTF is he still doing here? Does he have a league of minions who've hijacked every other phone in America in order to vote for him? If not minions, then who are this guy's fans? I just do NOT get his appeal, but I wish I did, because he could very well be in the top 3 and that frightens me, America. That frightens me. Anthony -- They said he'd be the next Clay, yet he still has not proved to be the vibrant showman that Mr. Aiken had morphed into by this point in the competition two years ago. Vonzell -- Hanging on by sheer I-don't-know-what, Vonzell has proven to have a pleasing sound and cute outfit choices. I have only been majorly impressed by her once; the other times, I'm just like, Hmmm, not bad. Carrie -- Still my favorite to win, but the finger-in-the-lightsocket hair she dons every other week has GOT to go. Hon, that style only works on Miss Piggy. Seriously. I'm sorry. Meanwhile, her singing is great and the judges are morons to think otherwise. Constantine -- Get rid. Get rid of him NOW. Bo -- My second-favorite to win, Bo impressed me majorly earlier in the competition, but since then, it's just been like... eh. But you know what? The same thing was true with Clay Aiken. His rendition of Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me in the wild card show in season 2 was never topped, nor was Kimberley's audition duet with Frenchie. Peaking early may get you in the door, but if you trail off in a cloud of mediocrity, I won't want your CDs. Unless of course someone sends me a copy of a song -- say, Invisible or Eighth World Wonder for instance -- and I listen to it 1,000 times and decide I love you after all. You just never know.
