EPISODE 4
I had a heck of a time with episode 4, trying to decide what it should be about. Should it be about Ella's summer vacation? I'd just gotten the "Bon Voyage" expansion pack, so it was possible.
I filmed some beach footage, which eventually made its way into the episode (as a dream Ella is having) -- then got cut. The original beginning of episode 4 can be found on MySpace, in Ella's video archives.
Okay, I want to go here. Now.
Another idea I had was a school episode where Ella makes a new friend, and the friend invites her to a slumber party. In true slumber party tradition, the girls play Truth Or Dare. Ella is dared to go to an old graveyard and photograph a particular tombstone.
Ella wants these girls to like her, so she does it.
Ella might be crazy, by the way.
The girls watch as Ella sneaks into the graveyard.
Okay now that's just creepy.
The iron gate creeeaaaks open...
I had to kill a bunch of random Sims to get all the tombstones in the cemetery. Don't try this at home, kids!
Ella finds the tombtone and takes a photo. And that's about it for that plotline.
After I decided to go with the "Bad Day" plotline, one of the scenes I filmed for it was this one, in which Ella, upset over some of the events that have already occurred that day, accidentally walks into the boys' bathroom.
Who does she run into? Why, it's Burk the Jerk!
Naturally Burk makes Ella feel awful about her innocent mistake.
Ella hurries to make an exit, but Burk's got a camera, and the next thing Ella knows, the photo of her faux pas is posted on MySpace for all to see!
This last scene got deleted because it seemed like overkill. I think the audience had gotten the point that this was a no good, very bad day. No need to run the point into the ground!
