Quite a lot of Ella footage has never made it into any episode. Maybe a particular scene just didn't work. Maybe I couldn't get the characters to do what I envisioned. Or maybe I ultimately decided to take the episode in a whole different direction. The point is, there are quite a few "lost" Ella scenes sitting on my harddrive. They aren't edited together; there are no voiceovers or music. They're just film clips. Here I've taken screenshots of some of those film clips and added an explanation of what I was going for in each scene.
Pre-Episode 1
Before I even began working on episode 1, I took videos of Ella and her family, including pictures of Ella's mom while she was pregnant and of Ella taking care of the babies.
Episode 2
While I was still filming Episode 1, I began working on Episode 2. The plot was going to center around Ella's teenage cousin coming to visit, and the cousin making a move on Gray. By the time I was actually ready to devote my time to Episode 2, though, this plot no longer appealed to me!
Episode 4
Episode 4, oh my. Before I finally settled on the plot to Bad Day, I'd played around with half a dozen other ideas, some of which can be seen here. Warning: weirdness abounds.
Episode 6
Episode 6 was another one that changed a lot before I actually settled on a plot. Check out some of my ideas...
