"Yeah, if you like that sort of thing." -- The
Pilot
Lois Lane is a tough "don't mess with me" career woman. No one has ever put her in her place, no one has ever stood her down... and there's a new boy in town. He's a hack from nowheresville, but there's something about him she just can't put her finger on. His words make her feel a way she hasn't felt in years... and she doesn't know why. |

Whoppers! -- Strange Visitor
Lois Lane, hard career woman, at work late at night, trying to catch Whoppers in her mouth. This scene forever cracks me up because it shows such a different side to her personality. |

"Don't try anything funny."
-- Honeymoon in Metropolis
Clark is madly in love with Lois, she doesn't see him that way... at all... nor does she know of his infatuation. They are given the assignment to go undercover as a married couple in the honeymoon suite; as much as Lois fights it, and as much as Clark enjoys the idea, he still has to play it cool. Her huff and eye rolls are some of my favorite things, and she does them so well here. |

"I've got my... protector over there." -- Witness
This is just a little scene where Clark walks into his desk. It's so simple, but cracks me up EVERY time because it proves how... human... he really is. Sure, he can see through walls, fly, etc., but has no control over walking into inanimate objects. |

"I thought you didn't need a bodyguard?"
"Who said anything about a bodyguard?" -- Witness Lois didn't think she needed anyone, until someone started trying to kill her. This was one of the first episodes when Lois realized she NEEDED someone, that she needed a friend. |

"Vixen!" -- Barbarians at the Planet
This is just a cute scene because it shows the friendship Clark and Lois have. She can't name all of Santa's reindeer, and after giving up, the way he grabs her is just too damn cute for words! It's one of those scenes I rewind if I missed it. It's also so fast it's impossible to get a good cap from. |

"My whole life is the Planet." -- The
Source
When Lois is suspended for not revealing a source for a story, she becomes depressed, unable to function; her job was her life, and without it she is lost. This is the perfect image to describe the scene and shows that Lois did have her vulnerable... and sloppy... side.

When you rush off to save the day, it's a good idea to remember to put your glasses back on as quickly as possible afterwards. Good thing no one was looking. :) |

"There isn't anything I wouldn't do for him." -- Metallo
A revelation type of episode, when Lois realizes the feelings she has for Clark -- which meant if they didn't get these two together soon, there was gonna be a riot. I also like the whole fetal position she has going on with her pillow, because what girl HASN'T been in that situation? |

"Well that was worth the whole trip, to actually meet the most
galactically STUPID woman who ever lived!" -- Tempus Fugitive
The thing that always bothered me about the classic story of Lois Lane and Clark Kent/Superman was how STUPID Lois could be. They're just a pair of glasses, what's the confusion? But I believe this episode fully described why and how one could be "blinded by love". And even though, in this episode, time is reversed, and in the end Lois forgets that she was told Clark and Superman were the same person, it is still important because it shows us that Lois has to figure this out for herself, after she is fully able to feel love for the real man and discover his true identity... five episodes later.

"If you're gonna run away from this tell me
now." "I'm not running Lois, I'm ready to take the next step
if you are." -- Whine, Whine, Whine
This is an episode that's hard to just pick one scene from without going into great detail. From day one of the series, Lois Lane was obsessed with Superman. Madly in love with someone she hardly even knew, yet ignoring the man she did know, who loved her. Unbeknownst to her, they were the same person, and when she finally developed feelings for the real man under the cape, she became confused and scared, not knowing who she should choose. Then another man shows up in her life, which just complicates things even more. This eventually puts Lois into therapy, where she is made to realize the man she really loves is the man who has always been there for her, even when she didn't realize who he really was. It was this point where she gives up her "crush" on Superman, says goodbye to the third man who she looked to as an escape when she was felt she was being ignored, and takes the big step to be with the man she loves.

"The way you just touched me" -- And the Answer
Is...
Clark touched Lois a lot. Superman touched Lois just as much, she kissed both... but it wasn't until, in the matter of twenty-four hours (not to mention by now she had realized her love for Clark) she was touched in the same sentiment by both men, that she realized they were one in the same. |

"Who's asking, Clark or Superman?" -- We Have A
Lot to Talk About
It's about damn time. This was what sealed my love for the series. Lois knowing who Clark really was opened a whole new door for the series; a door I never wanted to see closed.

"Wanna bet?" "Bet." -- Ordinary
People
This scene is just one of those cute ones that I adore to no end. Lois is obsessed with her work, and when she's stressed over things like the revelation of Clark's true identity and his proposal, she uses her job as an escape. Perry "practically forces" them to go to an island retreat. "Work would be a lot easier than spending an uninterrupted
weekend with me." ...and then they end up going as a bet to see who can go the longest without working or feeling the need to rescue someone. Competition in a couple. Makes me giggle. |

"Being with you is stronger than me
alone" -- Ordinary
People
Lois is still accepting her newfound knowledge about Clark's true identity, and the more Clark loves her, it's growing harder and harder to hide his true feelings, even when wearing the tights. But Lois is scared, she loves Clark very much, but there's just so much more to understand about him now, and this is one of those scenes where they reveal to each other how much their love for one another has strengthened their relationship and themselves. |

"Lois..." "Superman..." -- Contact
Lois is taking too many chances, and Clarkie is getting upset. This is a funny standoff between a hard-headed woman and her steel-headed boyfriend. |

"What am I doing? I'm talking to fish.

"Did we just make up?" "I think
so." -- Just Say Noah
Another classic that really doesn't need words, but for me it was an important scene because I was about to give up on the show after Clark dumped Lois in Contact; I needed Lois and Clark as a couple or I couldn't love the show. I'm not the type of fan that likes to be toyed with. Put my couple together. KEEP them together. Sure, they can fight, I love a little angst, but true breakups for more than one episode... unt uh. |

"Something about you, always made sense to me." -- Don't

"I'm Back" -- Oedipus Wrecks
The nightmare of the last two months is over. We survived the hell. The joy I got when she did this is something the show never gave me again... well it did, but not in the same way. I wasn't on the internet yet, I didn't know the whole clone/amnesia thing would be resolved... ever. So this scene made me so beyond happy that I re-watched it about 20 times that great Sunday night in 1996. |

"There's nothing there for me" -- Dead Lois
Walking
This is one of those scenes that gets to me because it's when I discovered how much Dean had grown in his role, and the emotion he showed just brought me to tears. You could really believe this was a man whose wife was sitting in prison waiting to die for a crime she didn't commit. |

"Did I get egg on ya?" -- Ghosts
I love this scene because it was an outtake they put in the show. I love when they do that, and I believe this was the only time they did. Teri was flipping the spatula around and then Dean starts laughing and Teri says "Did I get egg on you?" and Dean throws the towel at her. It's too funny, their smiles and laughs are genuine, and it shows what great chemistry they had. |

"I use the suit as a disguise, but I
can't hide the way I feel about you, or the way we feel about each
other." -- Sex, Lies and Videotape
The episode that was bound to happen. I just love the whole idea of this plot: Lois is caught making out with Superman and the hell they deal with later. Of course everyone treats Lois horribly for "bringing down their hero", and Clark has to deal with one side of him getting darts thrown at him while the other is being given homemade fudge. The scene I chose is the scene in which they are "caught", more like spied on, by a woman climbing the fire escape onto the balcony, looking for "dirt" on Superman. It's just so romantic in my eyes, it's a real couple showing true affection for one another, even if one is in tights and a cape. |

"You should see her with silverware, it's
not a pretty sight, so we'll just take it away" -- AKA Superman
Lois has issues with Jimmy's new girlfriend, Penny. There's something fishy about her, not to mention she lured Lois's husband out to kiss the night before, and Lois knows that if she whispers, Clark will hear her loud and clear, so she figures knocking everything off the table will give her an excuse to get under the table and whisper her accusations. Clark eventually follows her under there, only to be be the victim of her anger with a swift knock to the head via chopsticks after she catches him checking out Penny's legs. |

"How do you guys do that? How did you
even know he had somewhere to go?" "Well... I... just can't tell you." -- Toy Story Another cute exchange. Basically I like this because, for the first two seasons, Clark had to think of elaborate excuses for darting off, and for the last two, he had Lois to help him, and this is basically her being unable to think of one. |

"It is creation." The Family Hour
The scene that makes me cry above all others. It's the saddest, and best well-acted scene ever. Also doesn't help that it was the last episode... ever. |
