There are so many kaleidoscopic icons, I decided to separate them into categories.
Each of these links will take you to a page full of icons with some kind of similarity.

All the kaleidoscopic icons were made using portions of real photos and the "Kaleidoscope" feature in Paint Shop Pro 7.

"Child's Play" -- bright, bold colors

"Downtown" -- made from photos taken in Downtown Portland

"Browns & Golds"

"Cool Blues & Greens"

"Pretty In Pink & Purple"

"Totally Natural" -- made from photos of nature or that look like nature

"Mostly Neutral"

"Winter Wonderland" -- made from pictures of snowy landscapes or Christmas lights

"So Pretty" -- or, everything else
