The 90's were a grand time. Gen X, grunge, good shows on ABC, coffee names that were practically paragraphs -- and Olsen Twins, plenty of Olsen Twins. Throughout the decade, they appeared in one TV-movie after another, not to mention their TV shows and videos involving pillow fights and trips to exotic locations. Yes, Mary-Kate and Ashley were the queens of the preteens in those days. It's different now. All the kids care about today is that Hannah Bo Bana or whatever her name is. You know, the one with the multiple personalities. Psssh, Mary-Kate and Ashley didn't need multiple personalities to be popular. Because there were... two of them... and... whatever, the Olsen Twins are better and I can prove it!

How?

I say we put Hannah Montana and the Olsens in a dueling circle and let them fight to the death! And serve popcorn! With BUTTER THAT THEY CAN NOT EAT.

Place your bets! Who would win?

Right, one would blow away at the slightest breeze and the other's too busy making out with Ben Kingsley or something I don't know. Oh well... Achey Breaky's daughter for the win.

So where was I? Oh yeah. See, back when I was a pre-teen, I enjoyed the work of the Olsen Twins. In 1993, they made Double, Double, Toil and Trouble. In this movie they play twins who toil and get into trouble. While this pretty much describes the plot of every movie they've ever made, Double, Double is also about witches, so there's that whole MacBeth reference that nobody in the remote vicinity of the Olsen's target age group is going to get but whatever.

The Olsens play little girls named Lynn and Kelly. Their parents are having some financial difficulties, so they go to their rich relative Aunt Agatha to ask for a loan. Aunt Agatha is a witch (and a word that rhymes with it) and she naturally doesn't give them the money. In fact, she screams at them and threatens them. She's a fun person.

From talking to a random gravedigger, Lynn and Kelly learn that Aunt Agatha had a twin sister named Sophia and that Agatha has a magical moonstone. She uses this moonstone to do her evil stuff. And Sophia? Well, she's trapped in a mirror, courtesy of Agatha. See, Sophia was the nice one. She would give Lynn and Kelly's parents a loan. There's only one way to save her -- and it's not going to be easy! But darnit if the Olsens don't have the gumption to try!

The next day is Halloween, and Lynn and Kelly sneak away from their parents and begin their quest. They are eventually joined by a homeless man, a clown and the random gravedigger. Working together, they manage to obtain the moonstone, bring down evil Aunt Agatha, free Aunt Sophia, decide that being twins ain't so bad, and live happily ever after.

And now for some fun! You get to choose your own concluding sentence! But choose wisely! For while the true concluding sentence will bring you life, the false one will take it from you.

A) All in all, the Olsens have made better movies.

B) This movie is really stupid.

You have chosen... poorly. Happy Halloween!
