Meet the Newhall family -- Mr. and Mrs. Newhall and their daughter, Jenny (played by Lacey Chabert). They're about to get the shock of a lifetime -- six times in a row. Will they pull through? Will they live to the end of the movie? (The film does have "kill" in the title...) Will their family deteriorate -- or will they stick together, despite the tragedies that are occurring and the lies they've been a part of?
And Timothy Busfield's character -- is he evil? He seems evil. Isn't he always evil? Damn that Timothy.
It all starts when Jenny -- who has been having some issues, lately, with Mrs. Newhall -- gets a surprise visit from her biological mother, who she's never met. The Newhall parentals freak out, thinking BioMom is going to start hogging their daughter. But why is BioMom back in town all of a sudden? 2:45 PM 6/27/2005Where's she been for the past 15 years? What's her secret -- what's she got to hide? And will her secrets get her killed?
This is actually a great movie, with an intriguing story that starts out simply and then keeps escalating. Just when you think you know what's going on, you find out you were totally wrong. It's suspenseful, the acting's kickass, and it's even got Patricia Hamilton!
A movie can't go wrong when it's got Patricia Hamilton. I'm sorry. It just can't.
